I pride myself on my ability to think up and give people meaningful gifts for the holidays. I celebrate Christmas, personally, and, ever since I made enough money to do so, I’ve been getting something for people. Continue reading

Poem: Christmas Time Is Best Time
You’d think my favorite,
Would be the time of screams,
The time of skeletons,
And very bad dreams. Continue reading
News: Christmas Collection Year 2!
For those who do not know, last year I did a special event called the Christmas Collection, where every day, for twelve days, I reposted an article I particularly liked for different categories. It made for a good way for me to have some time off for the holidays and yet not leave you guys with nothing fun to read.
And, well, you know what time of the year it is: so, let’s do this thing again! Starting tomorrow, I’ll be posting the second round of my now annual event that is the Christmas Collection, and then the next new post from me will be the third part of the New Year’s Book Cheers for 2017 on the 30th.
It will be fun! I’ve read some good stuff this year.
But, in the meantime, I hope you have a happy holiday, no matter what you celebrate, and that you’ll join me next year here on Coolerbs Writes. Continue reading
Christmas In Florida
Are you shivering when it’s about sixty degrees? Is it possible to work up a good sweat just by walking outside on Christmas Eve? Do you have no concept of how much it is snowing in other states?
Yes?
Well then, you’re ready for Christmas in Florida. Continue reading
IT’S NOT CHRISTMAS YET!
“It’s Christmas time!”
No! It’s not!
Not yet. I love Christmas. I adore Christmas. Holy crap, it’s almost here and I am excited. Family and Christmas specials and shopping (yep, bucking stereotypes, I’m a guy who deeply enjoys going shopping—just not for clothes) and I’m looking forward to every iota of Christmas lights I can get into my eyeballs and on my brain.
BUT I also like Thanksgiving. I find that holiday fun as well. I’m looking forward to that, first. So, just because Halloween is over, does not mean it is winter holiday time yet! Continue reading
My Christmas
My Christmas is my own. Yours is yours. You may not even celebrate Christmas. Happy Holidays then.
But, for me, I do celebrate, and I adore Christmas. For a guy, I genuinely enjoy the shopping—even for clothes. I love the lights all over the place. The stacks of gifts, the trees. If my house isn’t filled with schmaltzy movies about romance found and families reunited, I don’t feel like it’s really Christmas.
But this Christmas season is different. I don’t have someone around I used to have. This article started off happy to prove, that yes, I am no hater of the holiday. I want you to understand, dear reader, despite this dark topic, I will have a happy 25th. I’ll hold on tight to the people around me.
But yeah, this is a tinged year. Continue reading
News: A Time For Family, A Time For The Holidays
Hey guys! I hope you’re all enjoying the holidays–because I certainly am.
And while I adore blogging for you guys, I am going to be taking the next two weeks off (with maybe a special Christmas day article, I haven’t decided yet) to spend time with my friends and family.
So, I’ll see you guys then, and have a merry Christmas, a happy rest of your Hanukkah, a wonderful Kwanzaa, and an awesome whatever else you may celebrate. 🙂
5 Gift Ideas For Writers
Are you a writer trying to think about what you want for the holidays? Do you have a special writer in your life? Do you want a humorous holiday-themed article to read?
Then I’ve got you covered. And though the writer’s “Holiday Wish List” is not exactly a unique article idea, I thought I’d put my own spin on things.
So, let’s begin.
-
Books (Duh)
Writers like books. All of us. Okay, most of us. But I don’t trust those guys. And we are always searching for new books, even if it’s just for our shelves. Not sure what specific books they want? Just ask. Chances are they will have a long list.
-
Themed Mugs
In addition to books, writers tend to like coffee. Correction: need coffee. And for those that don’t: tea. So it makes sense to give them a literary-minded way to drink it. The words on the mug should preferably be witty. So that the writer gets a good bit of amusement and inspiration when they start their day. Continue reading
