Poem: Mr. Click

Mr. Click,

Liked to eat sticks,

And then spit out the leaves.

He did this each day,

Until Mr. Click,

Was about to eat a stick,

And found that the tree was intelligent.

So Mr. Click,

Sans his usual breakfast of a stick,

And maybe, like, an apple if he was in the mood for that?

Recorded a video on his smartphone of the talking tree,

And made millions from curious botanists,

And people who,

You know,

Wanted to see a tree that was smart and could talk.

And with his money,

Mr. Click,

Got to eat his fill of delicious sticks.

And he smiled with bark in his teeth.
