Poem: Hayfever

Eyes itch and ache,

And burn and go,

I can’t see straight—

You don’t even know,

Hay fever sucks,

As does the pollen,

You can only rub so hard,

Before your eyes are no longer callin’,

The trees may be mating,

And that’s all well and good,

But the level of pain,

From them fucking,

Makes me want to cut them down—

To free the neighborhood,

If you do not know the pain,

Of itching eyes to the brain—

Then you haven’t felt,

The way of the hay fever.

Want to read something longer by me? How about a whole novel!

“Just Another Chosen One is a blisteringly paced, action-soaked debut from author Brandon Scott, sure to appeal to those who’ve gotten tired of reading the same old stories about the child of prophecy destined to save the world.”
