Poem: Internet Is Down

When the internet is down,

We can’t connect,

To the infinite information,

The swirling of the net,

The cobwebs of our brains,

Blasted free digitally,

Gone around and over and through,

The neural world of synergy,

It will consume those not ready,

The unsteady flow of digital know-how,

The connecting emails,

The messages sent,

The rip roar of information,

The electrical current,

We are in a world that will not stop spinning,

And as long as it all works,

We will not stop winning,

By connecting,

By swirling along,

To the song of the binary,

The real worlds are perhaps gone,

But we have something new,

And that’s where we can all go,

And be along—

Into that great code.

Want to read something longer by me? How about a whole novel!

“Just Another Chosen One is a blisteringly paced, action-soaked debut from author Brandon Scott, sure to appeal to those who’ve gotten tired of reading the same old stories about the child of prophecy destined to save the world.”
