Find me,
The note said,
It talked about a girl I could not know.
Born a long, long, long time ago.
But it stayed fresh.
As if written one day prior,
One dream scribbled in dire,
Places.
Under large need.
And the footsteps that lead,
Towards that cave on the beach,
Seemed not out of reach.
Could I find,
What god had left behind?
And would it be as sweet as what I imagined?
Someone once told me, in a song,
That I’d have to wait for things to come along,
But when presented, do I chase?
The note on the beach.
As another human in this race.
Her?
For her, I ran.
But perhaps,
It was another sadness spent on grainy flowing sand.
