Poem: Running Again

It had been a little while,

Since I last ran,

And wow, did my legs forget.

My arms too—

They got the gist now.

They pumped and motioned as I ran,

And they are sore to the wrist.

I’ll likely wake up,

With a little inability,

To move.

But in a day or two,

Or a week or three,

If I keep up this running again,

You just wait and see,

Those sore muscles and tired body,

Will give way to something powerful,

Something faster,

Something tougher,

That I had let fade before,

Because it is hard to run every day,

But I’d recommend it to anyone who can.
