For some reason,
I did not look to find,
We use the word count,
To define,
What a book or story is called,
Novella,
Novel,
Microfiction.
It’s not much for more than clarification,
And categorization,
But the numbers get a little sloppy,
When we drop in,
And see what the difference even is,
Between micro and flash,
And short story besides.
Do we count a single sentence as a story?
For the sake of labeling?
Do we make it so,
Perhaps,
If we found a good story only two words long,
Or five,
That we come up with a new term?
Or is that a microfiction?
