Back again,
It’s here already.
People-eater,
Darkness unrushed,
Scary,
Licking at the blood of men,
Women,
And those darn children,
Coming forward,
Winding motion,
Teasing screams,
Blob of emotion,
A car crushed easily,
Blood spilled fresh,
This is the world,
With monsters in it—
Unleashed.
When they return,
From where they had come from—
There will not be anyone,
No one.
Left alive.
Left here to stay.
Left in the world.
They will all fade away.
For monsters are demons,
And darkness made flesh,
Coming for the hiding,
Wanting to take their breath.
The world is ending.
That much is true.
The world is ending,
For me,
The rich,
The poor,
And,
I’m sorry to tell you this—
But the world is also ending for you.
