To those that see a painting in twilight skies.

To those who pour out their heart because they need someone to understand.

To those that push themselves harder—harder—harder, until they find a new way.

To those that don’t sleep, don’t eat, sacrifice their bodies for the sake of something grand.

To those that explain, again and again, rather than fight.

To those that choose others above themselves.

To those that love.

To those that managed to love themselves.

To those that haven’t and yet love others all the same.

To those that wake up with a purpose.

To those that have yet to find it.

To those that strive to teach.

To nurture.

To help.

To make people see the truth.

To save people, without reason.

To those who have a reason.

To those who pray, practice, feel faith.

And want something good for the soul of man.

To those that hold down every evil and destructive impulse and be kind.

I see you.

And I want you to know that while not everyone is what this world calls special.

We have the capacity to be better than that.

We have the capacity to love.

To learn.

To protect.

To save.

To continuously, every day, choose to do the one thing that our hearts know to be right.

I see that you really are trying.

And that you are good—despite how you might feel.

“Special,” no.

Extraordinary.

Kind.

Good.

A worthy person.

Better, I think, than being envied.

The best is being loved.

I see you help the world every single time you work to make someone smile.

Your dreams.

Your projects.

Those things that you allow to wander your mind.

I want you to know that there’s still time to begin.

You may start on them now.

You may start on them tomorrow.

Even an unfinished song is still a moment of joy in its creation.

And I want to tell you that joy given out always comes back bigger.

It’s cyclical.

But I think you knew that already.
