Microfiction: Fear Them

The worst kind of monsters are the ones we don’t see.

Because all we can do is…

Fear Them

Fear the child who does not talk. For he’s the only one listening.

Fear the man who takes no medicine. For he’s the only one well.

Fear the woman who barely sleeps. For she’s the only one awake.

Fear the elder who never smiles. For he’s the only one happy.

People have always been afraid of monsters.

But the thing they never realized…is that they’re surrounded by them.

Afterword: Hey guys, sorry about such a short story. I’ve been spending most of my time working on a writing advice article and there wasn’t enough time to edit it for today’s post. I hope this story tides you over for now. Come Saturday, I hope to blow your proverbial socks off.  Till then :).

Special thanks to: Collin Pearman, Dylan Alexander, Jerry Banfield, Michael The Comic NerdPulsatilla Pratensis, and Zeony.
