Poem: Horror Story

I suppose the way to tell,

At the end of the day,

If I have written good horror,

If I am making something that will scare others,

Is if I am having trouble writing the scare moment—

Because I can feel a shiver move down my spine.

Is it good enough horror,

If I am unable to move my fingers,

And I keep having to look at the door of my office?

Is it good enough horror,

If I am jumpy,

For fear of my creation,

That I am making in this very moment.
