Poem: A Cough

Somehow,

I got this cough,

It’s an awful thing,

Makes me rock,

Back and forth from the eruption,

In my mouth,

Making air pop and bellow.

It’s hard to think,

Harder to eat,

When air and other things,

Want to break out from beneath,

Past my tongue and over my teeth.

There are worse symptoms,

This much is true,

But it still sucks to cough so much,

It’s hard to talk to you.

“Just Another Chosen One is a blisteringly paced, action-soaked debut from author Brandon Scott, sure to appeal to those who’ve gotten tired of reading the same old stories about the child of prophecy destined to save the world.”

Let me hear your opinion.
