Heat and sheets,
A cross breeze,
A softer bed than ever,
A bout of rainy weather.
A feeling of equilibrium,
In the soul,
Like the body did not exist,
But when it did,
Nothing but feathers,
A hug that lasts long,
A moment of listening—
To a favorite song.
A pop of a bone—
Sitting wrong too long.
A feeling of safe,
That is really there.
A fresh taste of summer air.
The first of a delicious day,
Dancing a night away.
A diner at night,
Movies,
Television,
Art to delight.
A person you know is right,
For you.
Stress and pain,
These may sometimes reign,
But comfort exists all the same.
You’ll find it,
Strangely,
Perfectly,
When you need it.
When it is time.
When the universe,
For one moment,
Seems to—
Resonance rhyme.
