Poem: The Button Man

I am the button man.

It’s not a job you take lightly.

I am the button man.

It’s not a job for the flighty.

I am the button man.

It’s not a role I chose.

I am the button man.

I sit by screens in rows.

I am the button man.

They never let me leave.

I am the button man.

It’s me you need to please.

I am the button man.

I could bring this world down.

I am the button man.

A sacrifice for the town.

I am the button man.

I am the button man.

I am the button man.

I am the big, red, button man.
