The difference between adults and children—besides so many other things—is perhaps the level of complexity their lives have. The older you get, the more it seems that you are being pulled into a thousand places. There’s a real worry about the death of spontaneity because the only real way to manage the increasing and often rather disparate tasks of adulthood seems to be a heavily regimented schedule or memorizing everything by simple repetition. Nightwalker’s Etiquette
Okay. So, as you may know, I stay up until around 5 AM most days. I take my coffee at midnight—and don’t expect to wake up until sometime around lunch. Even later than that, occasionally, depending on how hectic my previous day was and what my work schedule looks like.
